As promised in the card that accompanied Leda's gift to Karla, more gifts from Faerie had arrived.

From Sai and Strider came a dwarven made dagger with a wrist sheath. Prettier than a dagger needed to be, but nicely practical as well.

Sila had sent a leather jacket with a cartoon snowman on the back and "GLACIA" stitched above it.

Wiseguy and Leander had added at wide brimmed hat with a big feather in it.

And finally, from Ember, a Dragon-Scale armor vest, that was snug enough to be worn under clothes, and pretty enough to be worn over a shirt.

Well, not so much with the banjo apparently. That's mostly the orchestra that will handle that. But I got the part and rehearsals are going suspiciously well. I say suspiciously because I've seen how crazy things can get back stage when Muppets are involved. If you've never seen the Muppet Show, you can find it on youtube I think, to know what I'm talking about.

Anyway the show's going up first two weekends in June! Hope you can make it!

I realized recently that it's been quite a while since I've heard from you. I appear to be losing my Human sense of time. Possibly this is due to spending time with Old Me.

So I have to apologize for not informing you right away, see the above for my excuse; but Old Me passed away not long ago. She went peacefully and rather smoothly. She uttered the words 'fuck it' just before moving on.

Then her body vanished. That freaked me out. Our current theory is that she somehow went back to her own time when she died.

Oh yes which brings me to my other big piece of news, it seems that the catalyst for Old Me showing up, was Corwyn's nephew bringing my Great Grandmother forward in time in hopes that she'd help him out. She's Unseelie and a Vampire, but either he underestimated her family loyalty or didn't know she was related to me 'cause instead she helped deal with him.

Later in the evening, after Raven had left the dance, Jono sent Karla a text.

Raven sent me flowers. Roses. 'We have the taste of each other embedded in our souls, and we always will.' Anonymous message. Then showed @ school dance in lacy dress w/corset, got angry/left when I put up shields & tried to make later plans. You & I might need to give talking another try soon.

He wasn't mentioning how she'd tried to push through his shields in order to run her empathic fingers down his back. Mostly because he was only willing to do so much battle with his phone about this, and he was busy trying to stop feeling that uncomfortable prickle along his back when he thought about it even now.

He'd get Hannibal to take his mind off of it.

"Hey Karla. Just wanted to check in; I was just in Phoenix visiting Leda. They have her in a secure room and she's stable. I'm having a few things looked into about this, but everything seems okay. Call me if you have questions! How is everyone? How big is Kayla? I need new pictures!"

More information on Leda - since she disolved into the leaves they think she was kidnapped all along. Bedroom door was magicked into a potral to some ocean. Is Leda still afraid of water? More when I get it. Big meeting happening on faerie side of border but I can't go - no glamour w/o Leda.
