It had been a long and miserable two weeks. Just ask anyone who had had the misfortune of dealing with their Queen. Karla was a terrible patient; somehow managing to be a tyrant even when she was coughing so hard she could barely speak. It was a good thing her nasty chest cold had also kept her asleep a great deal, or it was possible she would have been overthrown by her own Court.
Now, however, she was on the mend. Which, on the positive side, meant she was feeling almost human again--and behaving that way. On the negative side, it also meant she was bored out of her mind. Morton and Julian had finally made good their escape after their third straight hour of playing cradle, her lunch lay untouched because she was tired of soup and toast, and the next person who came in to make her take another foul-tasting brew was going to get kicked in the face.
There was clearly only one thing to do. Call people and whine about how bored she was. Also, check up on anyone who had gotten tangled up in the latest bout of Fandom crazy, but mostly the whining and bored thing
Let's see. Who to call first?
[Open for phone calls, visitors, and them what live here. If you think Karla would have called you, she did!]

Date: 2014-04-06 08:13 pm (UTC)While wearing a kilt. Jono would thank people to ignore that part. He randomly wound up wearing the bloody things more often than he'd care to admit.
//Knock knock.//
Because it would be rude to just walk in. Or... something.

Date: 2014-04-06 08:30 pm (UTC)Steak and potatoes, Karla. Because he loved you.
And because he loved steak.
And yes, he'd had to argue with a handful of Healers about it on the way to her room, too. It was a wonder they didn't try to kill him in his sleep when he was in Sidra.

Date: 2014-04-06 10:21 pm (UTC)Greetings were for other people. Karla really, really needed to know whether or not Hannibal was in a kilt, too. She wasn't going to ask him about his underwear or lack there of, but if she could somehow convince him to get a selfie...
no subject
Date: 2014-04-06 10:53 pm (UTC)And he was definitely wearing underwear. Sorry, Karla. "I take it this latest oddity has spread to your land, as well?"

She'd been back to Glacia a few times to make certain there were no messages about anything that needed her attention, but in between she'd been jumping to Fandom or whatever dimension caught her whim.

Date: 2014-04-07 02:21 am (UTC)She answered it without looking at the number, half-hoping and half not daring to hope that it would be Tseng. Or Reno.
"Rosalind."
no subject
Date: 2014-04-07 02:27 am (UTC)"Hello Rosalind," she said. "It's Karla. Do you have a few minutes to talk? I know how crazy the island's been recently. Wanted to touch base, see if everything was getting back to normal. Give you a chance you complain about wearing a kilt."
Totally not making sure Rosalind was okay! Of course she was okay, she was a Turk. But, y'know, sometimes some people just needed to talk! After things happened!
no subject
Date: 2014-04-07 02:35 am (UTC)"You sound terrible," Rosalind said mildly. "Should you be calling people, right now? Resting would be better for you."
Sorry Karla, Rosalind was a big sister under all the Turk-ness.
"Though I concede I can't stop you. I have time to talk. Though the kilt is a bit out of my usual style."
But she looked really, really good in it, with a white dress shirt. That made it hard to complain too much about it.
