Dite's Suite, Arms Hotel, Monday Afternoon

Anytime there was an overnight trip to the island these days, it was traditional for people who'd been given a key stayed over in Dite's Suite. During reunion weekend, there were several such people--and all their friends--but while that meant that sleeping quarters were a bit cramped, it reminded Karla of the giant slumber parties she used to throw in the dorms, roughly a million years ago. And it was good to be able to look around and see so many people she loved in one place.

Other than her meeting with Ino later, Karla had no plans for the day. She'd probably go out and make one last round of the island, though she was loathe to disturb Kayla from where she was playing quietly in her playpen. Hmm, maybe she could just see how many people she could get to visit the room instead. The Arms had excellent room service, after all, and food plus friends equaled a party.

[For anyone who thinks they stayed in Dite's Suite and anyone else who is inclined to visit and/or thinks they'd get an invite from Karla. Soo...basically anybody, good job me. SP is loved and late pings welcomed! I DON'T WANT TO SAY GOODBYE TO ANYONE YET]

"Then perhaps she will outgrown it and develop an immunity?" Raven wondered. "Or I could heal her -- and take all that allergy into myself."

You know, on top of what she already had.

Karla eyed Raven's current clothing. "Are you going to dispel it, too?" she asked, raising her eyebrow. "Because from where I'm sitting, you're looking pretty full-up."

"Is that awful woman Umbridge still about?" Raven said, wrinkling her nose. "I could dispel it into her!"

"Ugh," Karla said, remembering that horrible trip to an alternate reality where Warren had had razor-feathers and Raven had been an insane plaything and they'd both hunted her for Umbridge. "If she is, I've got a few other things to give to her beyond a pink allergy."

Though that would be hilarious.

Raven wrinkled her nose, regretting bringing that woman up. "Perhaps an army of zombie flamingos, hungry for blood?" she suggested.

"Do you think any of Hannibal's flock got bit by gremlins yesterday?" Karla asked hopefully. "Because that could work."

[trigons_child]

"I have not been near his home, so I could not say for certain," Raven admitted. "But, perhaps, if we are fortunate...."

[glacial_queen]

"Maybe there's still a crazed gremlin running around in the Preserve," Karla mused. "If so, we can bring it over to Hannibal's flock..."

This plan was very normal, yes.

Completely normal!

"Just please keep it away from Professor Skywalker," Raven said. "I do not understand why gremlins are so fond of him!"

"All the Skywalkers," Karla said grinning. "Must be something genetic."

Gremlins liked the taste of midichlorians. Everybody knew that.

"I have been fortunately enough to only have been bitten once or twice," Raven said with a shudder. She was still Pride, after all, even if she had it more under control now. And gremlin bites were nothing to be proud of.

"I thiiiink I only had the once?" Karla said, trying to think back. "That was awkward. With 'Dite and the love potion, remember? I thought I was Cupid?"

That had been terrible. And awkward. And awkwardly terrible.

"That was my first, but I'm not sure if there were any after that."

"I was actually not bitten, but tried to heal those who had been," Raven said mournfully. That had been a mistake. "We ended up in Caritas, singing a song about murdering our husbands. I think that was the only time."

If there were any others, she had mercifully blocked them from her memory.

[glacial_queen]

"So, you're saying there's an addendum to the rule," Karla said, grinning. "No putting evil or gremlin venom into your Netherverse. Good to know."

[trigons_child]

"I count gremlins as evil," Raven said, "if only for how they like to torment Professor Skywalker and his family. So definitely no gremlins in the Netherverse. Unless it is an emergency."

Emergencies didn't count, Karla. Because of reasons.
