On January 25, 2015 (well, the Kaeleeran equivalent thereof), Karla and Warren welcomed their daughter, Kayla Kathryn Worthington, to the world. She was born weighing 6lbs and 9 oz and was 20.01 inches long. Mother and daughter are doing just fine and will be up for receiving visitors sometime next week.

Attached to the email were roughly thirty pictures, because you needed a bunch of pictures of a baby sleeping and/or being held by various people, right?

I'm tired as Hell but getting better. It took EIGHTEEN HOURS. EIGHTEEN. And Jono had to play FUCKING BELLS through the last, like, five of them. He lives, but only because he bailed off to the island. Smart male. Warren is also fine, but I think his expression is set permanently to pole-axed. With a side order of happy-dopey-stupid. I hear that's pretty common for new dads, tho.

Karla laughed and took another picture of Kayla with her phone to send to Priestly. She's in one now! And was wrapped in another just minutes after she was born! Best gift is best.

Red and wrinkly? Pffft, Karla was still convinced she was the most lovely of all babies born EVER.

...Karla was also incredibly biased.

As soon as I'm cleared for visitors, I'll let you know. I can't wait to introduce her to everyone. And have conversations with people that don't revolve around whether or not I've drunk my tonic yet!

Congrats, person I don't know with a baby even younger than mine! She's cute.

Spousal unit says I'm not allowed to say ours is cuter, because we're biased and also we didn't have to give birth to her. Besides, knowing Fandom, they'll grow up to marry each other, so we'll end up combining the genes anyway.

That wasn't as cute as Kayla, but she wasn't going to include that, either. She was learning diplomacy, see? ...Just checking, though. You were showing off the baby and not the blue critter, right? Hee!

This wins at best comment, Karla declared a while after the message had come in. She'd laughed so hard she'd woken Kayla, which had led to nursing, burping, and lullabies before Karla could get back to the internet. And either I had a baby or I've begun a spree as a serial kidnapper. One of those.

Also, where have you BEEN? I started teaching on the island last semester and by the time I had this baby I was visible FROM THE MOON!

And she totally was. Just as soon as she sent the email to Karla, she was forwarding Karla's message on to her parents. While bouncing happily. She had another niece! A BABY ONE!!
