Chilly Boulder, Monday Afternoon

The weekend was over and people were back to their old selves, at least if the lovely gifts Momoko had left outside her dorm were any indication. The dorm that a sopping wet Karla had marched to last night in high dudgeon. For reasons. Lots of reasons.

But it was a new day, people were back to normal, graduation was in less than a week, and she'd gotten a special package in the mail from Kaeleer. Banard was apologetic that they likely wouldn't arrive in time for her birthday, but just holding her set Jewels in her hands was enough to make her smile.

There was a cup of coffee in her hand, an ice cream cake with 'Happy Birthday' on it, and a clear view of the street so Karla could wave to anyone who wandered by.

Which were pretty important, too! Right up there with fistbumps, which Warren was happily returning in kind.

... Well, Warren wasn't going to be the one to piss off Sookie.

"You know I'm going to have to throw you one hell of a bachelor party, right? We need to have at least one more idiotic fling before you get yourself married to the girl of your dreams, and all."

He'd take some time off from the war for that, Bobby. Just for you.

"Oh, at least," Bobby nodded. "Which, speaking of- you'd better not have plans for two months from now."

"I'll do what I can to keep the date clear," Warren replied, frowning thoughtfully. "Karla and I are about to try to liberate her Territory, and there's no telling what's going to come of that, but if there's anyone I can make time for, of course it's you."

Hopefully he wouldn't be so busy in the midst of war that he couldn't attend his best friend's wedding.

"Good," Bobby said with a nod. Although, yeah, he'd understand if shit got real and they couldn't make it. "And, you know. I'm pretty sure I can speak for Sookie when I say... if you need us, we'd be there in a heartbeat."

"If there's anyone that would get along just fine in Glacia, it would be you," he noted. "I'll keep that in mind, Bobby. Thank you."
