glacial_queenIt had taken awhile to build up the courage, but today Karla had decided to call George and tell him how she felt. No big declarations or anything like that (which, Darkness knew, she wasn't ready for), but just acknowledging that, yes, she had a crush on him. It wasn't in her to be coy.
After leaving a message on his voicemail, though, Karla discovered that her nerves had deserted her, leaving her a right stupid mess. Rather than work herself into a frenzy while waiting for him to call back (if he called back because there was no reason that he absolutely would and what if he doesn't but surely the gift has to mean SOMETHING beyond friendship but what if it doesn't?), Karla decided she'd make a few other phone calls instead. Keep herself nice and distracted until any future calls she may or may not receive and certainly wasn't fretting about.
There was a call to Emma and Elena about a wardrobe update, a call to Leda to talk about the loss of her magic, one to Tahiri about Riina, and one to Dinah about everything.
There were a few messages on her phone when she was done, but they were really weird. Was there a party going on that she hadn't known about?
