The Estate, Sidra, Glacia, Thursday (Fandom Time)

Winsol had been going on now for several days. The family had just decamped from SaDiablo Hall in Dhemlan back home to Glacia to continue the festivities in their own home. There would be several more days of formal events, but this evening was just for family and close friends (specifically friends close enough to be family). The children were tumbling around like puppies, a mix of Earth and Kaeleeran carols were playing from floating music spheres scattered throughout the suite, fires crackled in the large hearths, and food and punch and hot spiced rum were piled high on the sideboards throughout. "Happy Winsol!" Karla said, holding up her cup in a toast.

"Happy Winsol!" the room chorused back to her.

"Oh hell no. None of their damn business," Dinah agreed. They'd tried teasing her about Priestly a couple times, but since mostly things hadn't changed aside from sex, it died off pretty quick. "And if you wanna tell Barbara and Helena in person, that's fine by me."

Alfred, who knew. He was Intuitive. He may have already Intuited from whatever he saw in Momoko and Jaime the last time they visited.

"So? Everything went... nice?"

"Tell them in person?!" Momoko was firmly in the 'nope nope nope' camp about telling them about her sex life, thanks.

Well, it couldn't really be called a sex life. Yet.

"When things finally stopped interfering?" Momoko was going to drag you over to an empty sofa in an out of the way corner, Dinah. "It was! It was weird and awesome and silly and perfect and totally not at all what I expected."

"Weird? And what things were interfering?" Dinah was going along for this because yay! "What were you expecting, anyway?" She remembered back to her first time with Jack. "You guys didn't blow up a hot tub or anything, did you?"

"What didn't interfere?" She made a pained and frustrated face, remembering. "The first time we didn't have any condoms."

"There was a world invasion attempt by some stupid dimensional thing," She counted off on her fingers: "Once Moshi started choking and throwing up blue slimy stuff (we still don't know what that was). Tim called Jaime to some huge important Titans meeting that turned into a week's stay at the Tower. I got sent overseas by Oracle. Twice I got called in to work to cover for the supervisor who collapsed (she's pregnant). There was the time Jaime's study group got their dates mixed up and came to our place on the wrong day. And there was the big test that he'd forgotten..." She listed off a few more of the unavoidable life coincidences that had delayed them and then shrugged. "It was totally like a conspiracy!"

By now Dinah was full-on snickering, because that was all hilarious. ALso, because they finally got it together to get together. "I bet the Moshi thing was something plastic; yay for your supervisor; and this is why Jack and I went to a hotel. Less chance of interruption." More giggling. "You guys. SERIOUSLY."

"Wouldn't that be impersonal, though?" Momoko shrugged and gave a small smile. "And going to a hotel when we had our own home, our own beds? That would be like sneaking out, saying we were doing something wrong."

"Welll, the two of us were in high school, so." Dinah's grin didn't diminish. "On the other hand, we wouldn't have had a jacuzzi to wreck. But on the other other hand, at least the furniture in the room wasn't mine to replace..." AHem. "So. Nice? No complaints? Jaime seems really, really happy." Yay!

"You wrecked furniture? How--" Momoko stared at her friend and then waved her hands wildly. "Uh, no. No. I totally don't want to know."

"I don't have anything to compare it to, so how can I have any complaints?" She giggled "I didn't get to touch him enough? His jeans were harder to take off than I expected?"

"Not thaaaat," Dinah said, turning pink. "I just... didn't have my powers under control, and when I got distracted. Things. Went places." Into walls, the ceiling, each other. Yup.

"There are so many jokes I could make about his jeans being hard. To take off. Momoko Akutsutsumi!" You were really not helping with the laughing thing there, Momo.

And Dinah was not helping with the blushing! "I meant because of the button fly and how he was laying! But, well, there was that reason, too."

"Laying!" Dinah squeaked, still laughing. "You two failboaty adorable turtles. You never. PLAN. Ahahahah...!" She got a grip on herself, and hugged Momoko again. "I'm glad for you guys. Really, really glad."

"It was our first time, silly!" This time Momoko hugged her back just as hard. "Though I am totally planning on doing it that way again. He was totally sexy and I got to touch so much of him."

...

"Ahh," she whined suddenly. "Now I'm frustrated all over again! We totally picked the wrong time, you know, with the holidays."

"Okay, what? How is it the wrong time? What is happening that you guys don't have sexy fun make-out time in your schedule?"

Momoko sighed heavily. "Because we're going from here to El Paso for Christmas and then to Tokyo City for New Years. We won't be home again for weeks!"

Dinah pauses to process that, and says, "You can totally have sex with your boyfriend who you are living with under his parents' roof. I promise they won't kick you out."

Not that Dinah knew from experience, but she was pretty sure Jaime's parents would be chill about that. They were both above drinking age and had known each other for years at this point, COME ON.

"...and just go somewhere your parents don't know about in Tokyo."

Yeah, same did not apply to Momo's parents, she could see that.

"We can't do that!" Momoko almost shrieked. "Dinah?! That's totally disrespectful! We don't even share a room when we stay with them!"

Oh, Momo. "The day they give you a room together, you better make use of it," she said threateningly. "But. Okay." Sigh. These two. "I still say a nice hotel is an okay thing. You get to have your own privacy with your significant other, you know?"

"I can't imagine that," laughed Momoko. "But honestly if they did let us share a room, I'd probably still feel bad about doing anything."

"And how exactly would we explain that we rented a hotel room for Christmas instead of staying with them?"

"Well, point. But for a daytime getaway..." Yeah, these two still wouldn't get it together. "Never mind. I sympathize but I am also saying you are doing it to yourself, so theres." She sounded about five when she finished saying that, sticking out her tongue.

Momoko rolled her eyes. "If you think I didn't wonder about a Love Hotel while we are in Japan..."
