The Estate, Sidra, Glacia, Thursday (Fandom Time)

Winsol had been going on now for several days. The family had just decamped from SaDiablo Hall in Dhemlan back home to Glacia to continue the festivities in their own home. There would be several more days of formal events, but this evening was just for family and close friends (specifically friends close enough to be family). The children were tumbling around like puppies, a mix of Earth and Kaeleeran carols were playing from floating music spheres scattered throughout the suite, fires crackled in the large hearths, and food and punch and hot spiced rum were piled high on the sideboards throughout. "Happy Winsol!" Karla said, holding up her cup in a toast.

"Happy Winsol!" the room chorused back to her.

"You are still awful, awful, awful at lying. Or even keeping secrets, Reyes." Dinah was nearly dancing, and her eyes were a little teary, even as her smile grew wider. "You guys. You guys. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww."

Please. Dinah knew what this meant! They were all but married already now! "After all the time you turtled your way back and forth to each other? And all the waffling? And all the worrying you guys did? THIS IS A BIG DEAL. SO BIG!" Dinah wiped her eyes. "Ohhh, I'm so happy for you." She clasped her hands over her chin. "I don't want details from you," although Momoko could tell her whatever she wanted, "but it was nice, right? Really nice?"

Jaime's embarrassment sort of faded away into a grin.

"Yeah." He said softly. "Not... quite what I expected, but..."

"YAY." D'awwwwwww. SO SWEET. Dinah had to glomp him again. "I'm happy for you," she whispered, giggling. "This is the way it was supposed to be, wasn't it."

"I don't know," Jaime admitted, softly, hugging her back some more. "I try not to think of how things are supposed to be. Just, you know, try to make the best of things."

"But this? It feels pretty right, anyway."
