The Estate, Sidra, Glacia, Thursday (Fandom Time)
Winsol had been going on now for several days. The family had just decamped from SaDiablo Hall in Dhemlan back home to Glacia to continue the festivities in their own home. There would be several more days of formal events, but this evening was just for family and close friends (specifically friends close enough to be family). The children were tumbling around like puppies, a mix of Earth and Kaeleeran carols were playing from floating music spheres scattered throughout the suite, fires crackled in the large hearths, and food and punch and hot spiced rum were piled high on the sideboards throughout. "Happy Winsol!" Karla said, holding up her cup in a toast.
"Happy Winsol!" the room chorused back to her.
[Open to residents of Glacia, dear friends, and anyone who thinks they'd have gotten an invite]

"It's been forEVER!" At last since they'd been physically together. Phone calls totally didn't count with besties. "Happy Winsol, Happy Christmas!"

Dinah might have an idea about that already. (http://glacial-queen.livejournal.com/16984.html?thread=1536088#t1536088)

"She keeps sending me on assignments, so I can't say anything bad about her though. My costume isn't being as weird as it was so I should be able to do real work again soon, though."

"My costume's not fully settled. The pantaloons finally changed to a skirt with tights and they haven't done more than change colour and length in about two months. And it's been six months since they changed while I was actually Blossom." Which had never stopped being scary, thank you. "But yes, I'm still a hero of Justice, just part time!" She gave Dinah a V-sign.
"And you should! Our futon is always available!"

Momoko was horrible at keeping secrets but she was totally awesome at being naive and obtuse. Ha!
"Ah! True! We could both use my room! Like old times!" Or rather, just like hangover times. "But if Priestly comes too, then he'll have to use the futon; I don't think Jaime would share."
no subject
"I'm not sure Jaime would be up for that these days." She grinned. "Unless things are very, very different from what I think they are?"
no subject
Oh wait! Did she mean... Her face cleared and she beamed a smile at Dinah.
"Don't worry! He doesn't have Practicals or anything like that for a while so his sleep hours are still totally normal. I'm usually the one who comes straggling home at weird times!"

And why would that be a secr...?
... Waaaaaaaaiiit a minute.
Dinah had that look on her face. Dinah wasn't taking about... She didn't... Momoko had her own pitiful shields up, as well as her sugar levels, so that meant...
"Have you already seen Jaime?" Momoko ventured, testing her theory. "I managed to get him to come, despite it involving a winter coat and possible shin-kicking."

She smiled and returned her voice to normal. "I tried to point out that San Antonio has less snow, but Jaime started blabbering about average and mean temperatures and humidity and... " she waved her hand. "I just stopped arguing and dug out my shorts again."
And then Momoko hesitated. Dinah was talking about his face, but... "You hugged Jaime, didn't you." Momoko facepalmed, blushing hard. "He totally needs better shields. I bet Karla figured it out as soon as our portal opened."

Not that Momoko didn't agree that it was a big (awesome wonderful wow yay moar plz) deal, but she was totally dreading payback for all that D&P shipping...

And what if Dinah needed to squee a lot because the two of them had been M&J shippers forever, had just been a whole lot more discreet about it?

"Ah!" She suddenly remembered something: "And no telling the boyos here! They'll tease me forEVER!" They barely knew Jaime.

Alfred, who knew. He was Intuitive. He may have already Intuited from whatever he saw in Momoko and Jaime the last time they visited.
"So? Everything went... nice?"
no subject
Well, it couldn't really be called a sex life. Yet.
"When things finally stopped interfering?" Momoko was going to drag you over to an empty sofa in an out of the way corner, Dinah. "It was! It was weird and awesome and silly and perfect and totally not at all what I expected."

"There was a world invasion attempt by some stupid dimensional thing," She counted off on her fingers: "Once Moshi started choking and throwing up blue slimy stuff (we still don't know what that was). Tim called Jaime to some huge important Titans meeting that turned into a week's stay at the Tower. I got sent overseas by Oracle. Twice I got called in to work to cover for the supervisor who collapsed (she's pregnant). There was the time Jaime's study group got their dates mixed up and came to our place on the wrong day. And there was the big test that he'd forgotten..." She listed off a few more of the unavoidable life coincidences that had delayed them and then shrugged. "It was totally like a conspiracy!"

"I don't have anything to compare it to, so how can I have any complaints?" She giggled "I didn't get to touch him enough? His jeans were harder to take off than I expected?"
