The Estate, Sidra, Glacia, Thursday (Fandom Time)

Winsol had been going on now for several days. The family had just decamped from SaDiablo Hall in Dhemlan back home to Glacia to continue the festivities in their own home. There would be several more days of formal events, but this evening was just for family and close friends (specifically friends close enough to be family). The children were tumbling around like puppies, a mix of Earth and Kaeleeran carols were playing from floating music spheres scattered throughout the suite, fires crackled in the large hearths, and food and punch and hot spiced rum were piled high on the sideboards throughout. "Happy Winsol!" Karla said, holding up her cup in a toast.

"Happy Winsol!" the room chorused back to her.

[Open to residents of Glacia, dear friends, and anyone who thinks they'd have gotten an invite]

"Happy Winsol! How are you? How's the kids? Still kids?" Hey for all she knew there'd been another timey wimey slipee slidey.

"Pssh, well duh. When is she gonna need reading, in real life? Alternately; well naturally, flying is the next step after learning to walk. Oh! Except climbing. How else are you gonna get to the right height to terrify your parents?"

"Why that's what the royal reader is for of course! Though sometimes you have to remind them to read out loud. I mean that is the point after all. On a slightly more serious note, I do have experience dealing with kids with penchants for heights and giving their parents heart attacks." One of those kids hadn't quite gotten over his taste for scaring the shit out of his parents. Ron was gonna get a serious talking to soon.

"He's good! He's still on his big epic road trip trying to get in touch with his human roots. Tooling around the US in an RV with my cousin Elora and a native guide who I think has some Fae ancestry. Or he's just really tall. I think they're dividing their time between playing music and solving mysteries.

"Sila is gonna get a lecture from me when she finally calls about the evils of not calling her mom. I actually have it written down. Somewhere."

Where did she put it?

Leda sighed. "Yeah probably. But she doesn't have the whole random time differences excuse. Well...I don't think she does." Holy shit what if the realm of the Fae was in fact, a separate world altogether.

Nah.

"Also, sorry for my own neglecting of correspondence lately."

"It's been general life stuff for a while," Leda said, "I did tell you about my current partner right? Tristan?" Mun can never remember what I've actually played out in terms of Leda keeping in touch "But the last several months things have gotten pretty heated in the council. A lot of the shit happening in the Human world has some of the Nobles talking about cutting ourselves off from Earth again."

Oohh, where to begin?

She sent Karla a picture of Tristan looking at something in the distance, his expression a mix of intense and absent. PB is Brandon Lee

"He's an artist, but he hasn't quite picked a specialty yet. He seems to be leaning towards trying to introduce Manga to Faerie.

I met him while I was visiting Bordertown, and saved him from some bad dudes who were trying to kidnap him to get at his dad.

Oh and he's the youngest son of the Dwarven Thane."

"You know, right after I said it, I realized you might not. The Thane is the Dwarven version of King. We're quite the target for gossip, naturally." She beamed. "He really is. He's also got that wry, somewhat twisted sense of humor that I like so much."

And he hadn't felt emasculated at being rescued by a woman, which was a huge plus.
